Thanks for the explanation. If I'm picturing it right then as the wheels turn the king pin going through the steering spindle at an angle will make the front axles travel in an arc that keeps the bottom of the tire planted in roughly the same spot while the top of the tires will still move. I'm guessing that causes toe and camber changes in the wheel but those changes seem like they should be balanced out as the suspension compresses.

Probably a beat-up Viper for now. I have an unpainted Protech that might go on it later. The wing is a stock AE one that I made bi-level by adding a piece of lexan with nylon rivets.

take notice that the majority of races in that ad are oval races. dirt oval specifically, which didn't get the coverage off and on road did.

i would also believe that 2-5% of the people that installed those parts on their car were actually a good enough driver/chassis guy to even feel the difference.

oh, they came as standard equipment on the trinity reflex-10.

I finally took some pics of the latest version of this project. I need to buy a new Viper body and trim it to match the new lowered suspension.

- JG oval shock towers
- TC3 composite shocks
- Castle Sidewinder ESC
- TrackMaster Turbo Glide tranny
- HyperDrive belt setup (This thing is super-quiet)
- Pro-Line Road Hawgs (not pictured)
- Eliminated wing tubes and attached wing directly to body
- Added a hacked-up/trimmed bulkhead
*Currently weighs under 3 lbs.

Those batteries must be heavy. The 5800 weighs 11oz. Either that or your scale/my scale is off.
