Post by REMJ666 »

Does Duratrax or someone make a new ESC with the fitting that will work with my older futaba FP-R112JE receiver ??? Here is a pic of what it looks like...

That fitting is irrelevant as you can change the plastic plug for the specific reciever, as long as the wires are in the correct place its good to go.

yes, that is the futaba "j" connector and is still widely available and is futabas only 3 pin connector currently available (that I can think of)
the previous connector, the "g" connector, has male pins

sorry it took 4 whole hours to reply, I was sleeping

Any modern esc with a JR/Hitec Airtronics plug, will plug right in, just make sure the wire is in the same location as original! In other words, don't plug it in backwards, as it's not keyed!

I'm partial to the Novak speed controls. You can pick them up used for around $20. The T4 is good down to around 15 turns (the older controls were not rated by turns). The Novak Cyclone is a great no limit control for around the same money. For some reason the bulkier no limit Novak Roosters go for more than twice that amount. No, I don't work for Novak.
