Okay, I swear i just signed up here to get advice to update my B3 buggy, but now I feel myself drawn to get a classic RC10 ! Of course I want it to be brushless and race ready! So I think it would be best to try to locate a worlds car or at least a car that already has a stealth transmisson correct? I would need updated arms? Andy's, rpm or dynatech, which is best? Since I have a B3 I think it would be best to use B3 cvd's so I can use the wheels on both? Or would it be better to go the b4 route? Guess im trying to get the best car that will take the least to convert to an updated platform. Your suggestions are appreciated.
You know, it depends what you want and how much you want to spend.
The Championship Edition with a stealth is a good idea and would probably get you to where you want to go , but if you want the dynotech arms I would start with a rc10t. They seem to be cheaper then a rc10 with the Stealth transmission and you have the nose already.
Hmmm, you know I was thinking of the 10t as they are much cheaper. So if I got the 10t I would need to switch to dynatech arms, i assume new turnbuckles and ? Also what is the deal with the 10t nose? I see quite a few with it that have a closed top shock tower which I do not like. So I would also need to replace front and rear shock towers and shocks, will an rc10 body fit or is the 10t set up too long? Please enlighten me
A stealth CE stock . Up grade the trans with bearings and a b4 top shaft and slipper. 3/16 rear axles ( your b3's will work ) for 2.2 rims. Thats really all you need to go brushless and race ready . JKRACING has a post on the CE set up.
Thanks for the advice, I think the CE is the way to go, I think if I went for the 10t I would have to replace too many parts. The hunt begins Hey im down for a race especially in your neck of the woods, I have a guy in my group that is home based in San Diego too. Im located in South Florida.
Here is my build, that has taken a pause, but take a look at the bill of materials. It will save you a ton of time when trying to search the forum to see what is needed to bring an old 10 up to speed. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=27470

I have to say thanks again, I just scored an RC10 CE with stealth trans that has been built but was never used, the body is unpainted and its coming with two booklets. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks for the kind words LosiXXXman.
I still got one more of these bodies, perhaps I should mount the last one on a LOSI :D
I wonder if it´ll fit a 22
I found this wild willy out at the flea market. Typical seller with a bunch of boxes set out for you to dig through. I spotted this willy sticking out of a box. I asked seller how much and when he said $10, I didn't even try to barter the price down.

And an 834b RPS!%%@ Man, such luck. Congrats!
Well, not too long ago I found this site from its sister site, clodtalk.com. My first real rc was an rc10t. I was cleaning out my garage about a month before I found this site and actually threw out a goldtube and parts- total party foul.

It is cold outside! Today was a good day and do inside project so I picked this back up and cleaned...wow what a difference. Still don't know exactly what I have but it doesn't look like it will take much to get it good. Tell me what you would do,...
Well after searching for parts for the Rc10 I am building for a runner I found like most of you, certian parts are hard to come by. So I decided to hold off on some electronics for the runner and see if I can grab me another one. This is what I got...

Got some NIP 3 piece 1.5 rear rims screaming for that car!!!!!!
So I had the idea to change my rc10 over to a RC10 Scorcher as I have seen before. Do you really have to shorten the chassis an inch? Or will the factory length adjustment on an rc10 be enough? Any help is greatly appreciated.(also post pics of your...

Check Old rc on ebay . Search RC10 baja body. Picture is the body on EBay. The only way to shorten the wheel base that I know of is to move the rear arm mounts forward. Decal sheets are out there and Team CRP made Adaptors to run tamiya wheels.
Here are some pics of my RC10 Baja Bug project. I first got my RC10 in 1985 with the gold pan design. Over the years it evolved from many parts from Hot Trick Stuff to include a red graphite chassis, red bumper and red support rails, new front/rear...
Thanks to CraigB on the site here, I'm the proud new owner of this here goldpan CE. I've been reliving my childhood by rebuilding and racing Kyosho optimas (my first rc), but I had a 6 gear goldpan too that was no slouch 25 years ago. I built a RB5...
