Reserve was $200.
But doesn't matter now. I got nervous and ended the auction. I had 42 watchers on it and tons of questions, so I got nervous and didn't think my reserve was high enough so i killed it. Screw the wife..i'm keeping it
It was never about how much i could sell it for. It was more about giving me a reason to keep it. After doing a lot of reading, and seeing how much interest I got in the car, i decided to keep the car and be a part of "this".
First thing i'm going to do, is take the car apart and clean it up. I'd call it a "resto", but there really isn't much to do. Prob just disassemble it, wipe it down, try and remove the light oxidation from various metal parts and keep it 100% original and in mint shape. It really is a "survivor" and It's barely been driven really.
I also have a Kyosho GP10 spider from early 90's that I'm the original owner of. This one i plan on frequently driving however.
I have a feeling a lot of people who were watching that auction are disappointed...but I'm keeping MY car
Serious question though. Would you paint the body, or keep it unpainted? What else would you do with it?
Now that i'm officially keeping it. here's some pics
