Question about repro Cougar2 Bodies...

Post by losiXXXman »

I really like the look of the Cougar2, and the belt drive tranny is really enticing, but the schueys are kind of elusive here in the States. Imena they are rarely on ebay here. SO, I was thinking of throwing the body on something else instead, just for the look. ANyway, does the small piece in front of the shock tower cut out of the mold elsewhere? Are the repros capturing that piece? Thanks!

The Cougar2 mold does not have the nose in place to continue from the main body down to the nose. The nose section is at a different location at the back of the mold from memory.
However I do have an orinal aftermarket shell that does precisely what you want. Bugle has a mold of it to make repros from. not sure if and when it might be available though.

Thanks Jason. If I go that route, I guess I could salvage the nose from another body .

I swear I just saw one of these at a hobby shop somewhere in my travels. It was in a Schumacher bag but I couldn't tell what car it went to. I even asked the guy at the shop....he didn't know either.
