does that car have hard anodized shocks or blue ones? What is the serial number on the motor plate?
Very Nice.....I would venture that a NIB TRX-1 is pretty hard to find. I don't think I'd build that particular one, and maybe find a used one to rebuild, but that's just me. I dunno, it's a tough call.

It came with the hard anodized shocks with the blue shock caps. Not sure on the serial number, I will have to dig it out of the closet sometime and let you know.
Nice!!!! I used to like the TRX-3 best, but the more I see TRX-1s the more I like them over the TRX-3. It is the simplicity that does it, the chassis is just so clean and simple!
It is interesting that by those dimensions at 251mm width (or even worse track width, which means actual width is even greater!) the TRX-1 would not be legal according to British rules (BRCA) where the overall width has to be 250mm.

That box has the World's Car sticker on it. Those came with the hard anodized bodies, among other things.
Nice kit! I had one waaaaay back in the day.
If you don't want to build it, send it to me- I'll build it and send it back
Always worth a try. Bitd I charged people to build their cars, now a days you can barely buy one as a kit
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
Very nice - one of the cars I'd pay a lot of cash for to own NiB... congrats

^ Dang, nice find. I wish I could have a NIB TRX-1. Such a cool car. I loved running mine. Nobody at my local raceway had one. I embarrassed a few guys in the mod class with 10's, and Losi's.
It drove similar to my Jrx Pro, but seemed a lot more forgiving. I loved it, rode like a Cadillac with those shocks.
Ok so I was fortunate enough to score an NIB TRX-1 from a member here at a very reasonable price. Thanks. You know who you are.
What do I do with it? I mean when I build it. I already have a from NOS parts shelfer, but building this one to run...

I am really looking forward to seeing this one. I had a Bullet, but I am not that familiar with the Traxxas racers. A couple of guys I used to race with (aka lose to...) BITD were sent free Traxxas kits. They would run them for a bit and do well,...
so I scored this on craigslist and it seems like the more I search the more I find this is the one that everybody wanted back in the day. It even came with the hottest engine O.S. had back then the .21RX-B nib and even has a really cool O.S. engine...

If You are coming, I´ll make sure You´re getting Your own transformer with the right winds :D
I recently received a Traxxas project car and I had questions about the differences / similarities between the TRX-1, TRX-3 & Blue Eagle transmissions. Based on pictures I've seen, the trans that's currently in the car is from a blue...

The TRX-1 case has 'TRX' molded into it on the side opposite the motor plate whereas the TRX-3 case does not.
The TRX-3 trans also has a slightly lower CG due to the diff gear being closer to the chassis. I mean literaly you can almost see it...
I picked this up on the bay for 250. I always wanted one so what the heck. Just recieveed news that layoffs are on the way . So I will will have time to build it. Michigan is becoming a tuff state to live in :( but Ill stick it out for the time...

yeh i know just doing a little complaining. my question is why did associated do the box art with the all sport car an not produce the decals?
They probably deemed the licensing fees to expensive and decided not to pursue it any longer.
I know a lot of you have one or more of these kits in this condition but I just could not resist, I had to show mine off. I just don't know what to do with it at the moment. I do plan to build it and finish the body in boxart and then of...
I finally got around to complete the build that was started by the previous owner.
This is all that was assembled when I got the kit:

I realized after getting to the rear shock tower step that they used the wrong screws in...
i know that we all get surprised when we see the ending prices of some of these kits. but if you really think about it, to piece a car together from nothing costs a ton of money, too. let's say you wanted to build a rc10 tub team car with all new...
