6 Gear outdrive bearings?

Post by Luckyracing »

I am restoring my attic find and am in the proccess of rebuilding the transmission. This kit had bushings originally. I have a felt "seal" and a retainer on one side and nothing left on the motor side. My lhs has a nice goldie that is tastefully modified with era correct parts . This car has (at least externally) a 6 gear transmission and bearings on each of the outdrives. What size bearings are these? Do I have to mod the tranny case to utilize bearings on the outdrives, or is it a different 6 gear case all togther?

3/8 x 5/8. No modification necessary.
