Almost 3 years later and I am still making changes to this car. Decided to strip it down and make some changes. I have always wanted to cut the chassis, so tonight that is what I did.

The shorter worlds tower from rccarbonworks.com is what really got me to go through with the chassis modification.

Next I plan to dye the arms black, locate some B4 shocks along with a new front shock tower and a fresh body.

Thanks for the great thread and commenting on my build thread! I am inspired by your build! How are those races coming?
Also, whats the diff between the bigjeepz arms and the klien arms?

I still have a lot of work to do for racing, but that is my own driving, nothing bad about the car. I have trouble finishing well with my B4. It is all about practice.

Bigjeepzz rear arms are longer and allow the use of B4 rear CVDs instead of B44s. They are both very well made, it just depends on how wide you want.

Ordered a Fiber-Lyte RPM Worlds tower for the front to replace the RC10T tower that I am using now. Next on order will be a new body and a set of 1.02" shocks.

Might paint the chassis again, but black this time and not hammer silver. If I do decide to paint it I will need to order the chassis protector before I run it.

Plan to have this ready for the VONATS and JConcepts race this year.

This is almost as exciting as starting a build from scratch. :D

Spent some time on the grill dying my parts. A-Arms still are not black enough, but I will see what they look like after everything is assembled.

Chassis is now flat black instead of silver. I don't think I will be able to recognize this buggy when I am finished.

Hey... the Viper looks good on you. :D Make sure you mask out the front window larger than the mold lines. (Extend it downward a bit.)

With the newer style wing mounts, I'm guessing you just cut off the shell at the rear shock tower and you don't bother extending it? How do you mount it on the body though with just the front post?

Obviously I'm missing something here but I'd like to do this mod - are the B4 rear posts all you need?

I still have the back of the body with the B4 wing mounts.

Image

Cut a hole in the back so the mounts could fit though.

Image

The shock tower is from RCCarbonworks.com which already has the holes for the B4 wing(thanks PBR Allstar http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=26893)

Reused my A&L wing mounts to hold the rear of the protech, when I am not running the Biper.

Image

When using the protech an old servo mount was used with a alan head bolt that has a hole in it(Like front B4 or battery cup on RC-10)

Hope that helps.
