).The SG Coyote is not that rare in my opinion. Sure, there would not be as many out there as some Tamiya models but they seem to come up in kit form on eBay enough from time to time.
My journey with vintage r/c has was never born out of what value these things could bring me, I just want to live and relive all the great memories of these cars at the track from way back when.
Unlike today, so many of the older designs were almost disfunctional. Some worked well while others were complete flops. Personaly I like that a given car may not be as good as others. It makes me want to experience all the silly excentricities that come with them.
. I can follow your attitude of thinking perfectly Jason. I am also not into collecting vintage cars because of their value or because their value might rise in the future but because I like how they look from a visual point of view (body) and how they work from a technical point of view. In both of these aspects the Coyote is ranking very high in my personal list. Their designers wanted to do everything different than anybody else and it worked out!! TTech came out with their Predator years after the Coyote with almost the same transmission layout and they did well too (in the right hands)
