Hey I found this in a search and have some questions as I'm in the process of modding my Sand Scorcher using the DF-03 slipper as well.

Did you have to swap the top gear out? I didn't even know it would come out.

I also ordered the RC channel rear kit and it hadn't even occurred to me that it might not fit without modding the top shaft. Can you give more detail / pics on how much to cut off the shaft? I guess I'll see when its mounted but just want to have an idea.

Also, for the top shaft, did you do anything else to it?

Finally, the ebay links you posted don't work anymore, could you tell me what parts you bought?
