New Wolds towers for B4 Length shocks!

Post by PBR Allstar »

I've been working with Dan over at RCCARBONWORKS.COM on some towers for my worlds car I've been slowly putting together, they are finally done, and on his website for all!

I wanted a tower that kept with the theme of a traditional tower, but had the amenities of being able to use new style wing mounts (kyosho or B4) as well as made for B4 length shocks.

Anyway, here they are, complete with FT V2 shocks, and kyosho mounts!

Thats cool... I would buy a crap load of the chassis plates for RB5 if they were thicker and not a hole for the transmission. Do you think he would take some advice for that?

I think this is great. Kudos for getting them the right info! I work in the auto business, and the most successful suppliers are the ones that reuse the tools/tech they have developed and invested in. Shock towers in a new shape is a win for RC10talk, and RCCARBONWORKS.COM!

Now we just need someone to have the same view for rear bulkheads!

Sean, Dan is super customer service oriented, and very interested in getting the products that people want. I'd say your chances of getting that RB5 plate just how you want it are pretty good, probably only take a couple emails.

B4 uses a 1.18 rear body and a 1.02 shaft (i'm not 100% on this one without looking it up, maybe someone can confirm this?)

Quick question - Should have included in my eariler post.

Which CVD / Rear Hub Carrier combo is in the picture? Looks like a 10T carrier? Which rear wheel does it match up to?

other than the difference of the bearing (one flanged, one plain), and the look, the truck and buggy hubs are the same.

Received my tower today! Now I can't wait to start the rebuild of my What's Old is new RC-10.

Thanks again for bringing this tower to our attention.
