Need a length of a post on a B2

The almost complete B2 has arrived so that I can now put together my old Team AE pre-release B2 back together but it is missing one crucial part that I will have to make or buy and that is the left servo saver steel dowel post (left as if you were sitting in the car). Can someone give me a length of what this posts length needs to be? Maybe I can make one from a shock shaft.

By the way, this thing has some sort of plastic small rear bumper offset to protect the motor... is this how AE sold them retail? In the years we raced the B2 and B3 I never saw this part on any car.

Ruffy, that might be the rpm protector.

It was a black RPM rear bumper and they also made them in blue.
