Well, I am tired of work. I am tired of my side business. I am tired of lokking at a garage full of boxes and bags. So last night I started a new project to relax. Motivated, ney, INSPIRED by Asso_mans marathon week, I decided to get some stuff out of my head before I go nuts. I have 3 or 4 projects that have been burning my brain for months. Does anyone else get like that? I dream of these projects but never find time to start them.

Well, here is one. It is the "Queens Chariot". I worked about 6 hours last night on it and put about an hour in today. After I post this, I'll spend the rest of the night building the frame for the tongue and axles. It will hook to the TMS Dually and carry Queen No Name. At least for one video shoot and some road pics. Then it goes on the shelf.

I hope you enjoy. And I am open for suggestions. Especially on the tires and rims.

I'll have to post some more pics tomorrow. I felt run down most of yesterday and I am teaching tonight. I'm getting stoked. So far, what I have done is coming out pretty good. We'll see how it all comes out.

Really nice! I see a metal frame of some sort. Kinda like old trucks with the stained wood bed. Those always look so nice.

Yes yes. I have the rails bent and the angle cut for the edging. I am still debating whether or not to paint the aluminum parts black or leave them natural. I am leaning toward black unless I can get a good argument on why to leave them bare.

The wood has been sealed with poly. All I have left to do is build the fenders and the undercarriage and paint (or not) and assemble. I am hoping to be done this weekend. More pics tonight.

I might have some more pics of it this weekend. I have had the Flu since last Friday. I log on the PC every once in a while. Mainly to see what Halgar has to send me

Other than that, it has been Jimmy Neutron....sleep.....Sponge Bob.....sleep......Realtree outdoors......sleep.

I gotta break this thing. My attendance at work this week has been terrible.

Don't have much time so this going to be quick and simple. To sum up. too little time, even less money, busted up tap holder, hands hurt, back hurts, and the flu has kicked the jewels out of me. Here are some pics.

The deck is done. I am painting all aluminum black. Because of the sweeping rail, the ramps will be the slide out kind from under the back. I am hoping to do a complete light set for this thing.







Bent up a couple tire chocks. The tough part will be the scale tie downs for the rear. Anyone know a seamstress about 6 inches tall with a tiny sewing machine

Tad, this is scary. I have been planning to build a trailer similar to yours. I didn't think about a tandem axle though. Now that I see yours, some changes are in order. I plan to add fenders and a tire rack up front. I am going all out and hoping to use pins to replicate carriage bolts on the planks (like those found in new button up dress shirts that I don't wear).

Great idea. Do you plan on using balsa or a harder wood? I'll have to try to push a pin through mine when I get home tomorrow. It is birch and might be tough. I actually got the upper trim welded a couple nights ago so I am making slow progress. I have just been so busy lately. And I have a stupid sleep study tonight, then I teach tomorrow night, then the party on Thanksgiving. Man, I need some me time

Tad, I was thinking balsa. You could clip the pins so you are only pushing a short length into the wood. I say skip the sleep study and stay up late working on the trailer.

I wish I would have skipped the sleep study last night. Did not go well at all. It sucks getting old and out of shape.

At any rate, with your permission knucklebuster, I would like to try the pin idea.

PS the trailer is still all in my foggy brain. That's why seeing your trailer made my eyes pop out. The real kicker was the aluminum bracket around the edge. That's exactly what I envisioned. I guess great minds think alike!
