My RC12LC and RC12L (Carbon Free Project) Update 6-14-11
Here is a RC12LC all stock, including the Disc Wheels and Stealth Rear Axle, Also a pic of my Project 12L that I am trying to build "Carbon-Fiber Free", It is still in progress, I still have to shape a Tunnel for the Technacraft rear end, find a Fiberglass Axle, Titanium Hardware and finish modifying the front end with a brace and Body Mounts.

Man its about time for an update:
Some of you may have seen the car over at RCtech. I know the fronts are not "old school" enough, hope the 32pitch makes up for it
I still have to paint up a McAllister Body for it.
Enjoy this Mish-mash
Still missing some original BSR Fronts (dished).
PS: No Ti hardware installed as originally wanted.
The shock mount is an RC10L Item with the "ears" for the shock removed - drilled out for the hollow Fiberglass rollover antenna.
McAllister Front Body Mounts - Home made rears
Tecnacraft Tie Rods
Delta Shock

You by chance looking for one of those yellow fiberglass axles? I *might* have one, that's a big might though... LMK. Either way, looks great!
Oh yeah, shoot me a PM about those other parts we were talking about back before your job move. Thanks Maurice!

I agree with you and you are right, just wanted to be a bit differentlittleVETTE wrote:looks excellent. you should also lay the servo down. those servo mounts came with the newer associated front ends.

(and to be honest I had the Reactive Caster front end on it, but switched back to Original)
Thanks for all the Compliments guys - body is almost done too.
Regards,
Maurice

I like the idea behind your project... 'Carbon Free.' Cool to see one as stock as possible.
Looking forward to seeing the finished body!

Nice cars!
Those SCRs bring back some memories.
I have some that still take a charge. All of 5 minutes 30 seconds of run time.
We ran 5 minute races.

Re: My RC12LC and RC12L (Carbon Free Project) Update 2-8-12
Well as most know I am a Pan Car "Fanatic" and the vintage 12L's have always been my favorites. Pulled this one out of Fee-Bay for next to nothing, and although I am getting rid of a lot of stuff, planned to build this on a super tight budget.
You guys have seen the RC10L SS Ford F-100 I built a while ago, and here is its baby brother.
I cut a new upper and lower pod plate out of aluminum, that is 5 mm longer to accommodate the 1/12 Parma Midnight Pumpkin F100.
Still a Work in Progress!

Re: My RC12LC and RC12L (Carbon Free Project) Update 6-14-11
Came across another...
...RC12LC, this one is a smokers car. The wheels have some sort of discoloration, which I think maybe from the adhesive used on the Donuts. Other than that, she needs a cleaning bad, rims need to be stripped of the donuts, and I have a new set of front wheels, so If I can not rescue the old ones, there is always a fall back plan. Delta shock needs a new shaft and a rebuild too, the shaft is bent.

nice pick up, I love 12L's you can get a lot of them on a shelf
I am getting ready to build a new one from parts I think I have 95% of the parts.
