Inexpensive Hi-Capacity Lipos?

Post by THEYTOOKMYTHUMB »

Anyone know of a cheaper alternative for something like this? I'd need 2 and $400 is kinda steep. Even if they're not this high, maybe 8-9000mah. Did a bit of searching, but no luck.

My Savage eats up mah and I'd like to be able to take it on the walks my wife likes to go on. With Spring and Summer coming those walks are just around the corner(I prefer to run). I could carry an extra set of packs, but I like to pack light. I usually take a B3 with a Johnson 540 geared low. I get close to an hour easy with 5000mah. Plus carrying one extra battery isn't too bad. Not to mention carrying a B3 back is a lot easier than a 15# Savage.

I see these which are a great price and could fit a lot of models with a little modification. Anyone of a thinner longer version? On the Savage they hang on the sides so length is no issue, but thickness is. That's a helluva deal with free shipping though. :D

I see these are 5c charge capable. I would love to see the charger that can do that. I think 1c would be more than a lot of chargers can do.

Yup, but good grief that would have some serious run time. Better bring some spare batteries for the remote.

A battery like that 13500mah would run a 1988 RC10 for 40+ minutes in full racing garb. Oh the things we could have done. I figure it would run my B3 close to 3 hrs with a Johnson 540. 8)
