Re: Scorcher-10
Well I've made 3 titanium chassis for the rc10; one for a 3' limo, one for a guy in England, and one I made as a wheely car and it had a magnesium front end. I also make Sand scorcher race chassis for Team CRP, It wouldn’t be hard to make a few custom length chassis.

Re: Scorcher-10
Is that a complete chassis with nose and motor sections??
How much would you charge for just a standard RC10 titanium tub with nose and tail?
Also, do those have the holes in them or is that up to the builder?

This could be verrrry interesting.
Titanium, you have not posted pics of your limo yet. You gonna do that? Any luck with the body?

No tub's, just a flat chassis with the sides folded up.Claymore5150 wrote:Is that a complete chassis with nose and motor sections??

Re: Scorcher-10
This was my first try. It is made out of .016 titanium, with a magnesium nosepiece. It is featherweight, and twists allot, but the strength front to back is good. I only used it as a wheely stander.Asso_man! wrote:we definitely need some pictures here![]()

The second chassis I don't have pic's of but it looked more like the RC10 flat chassis.
And this is my Limo (So far)
It has DS arms, Magnesium shock towers, and the servo is mounted in the shock tower.

I was thinking about making it a dully, but I don't have the spare parts.

Re: Scorcher-10
There was a guy sold a T-Maxx limo and the body was custom done. It was really flat. Hardly any window and roof line details at all. I was thinking you could buy X amount of bodies and cut out the center sections then glue them all together. Do the body work from the outside and just paint it on the outer part of the shell. As long as you did not disturb a window pane, it should be fairly easy but pricey work.

Re: Scorcher-10
well, like temple previously said, it's all about the tub. an original gold tub in my case. when it's finished, i'm hoping it looks like something associated could have sold in kit form back in the day. so, no other chassis was gonna fit the bill for me.TitaniumXRC wrote:Well I've made 3 titanium chassis for the rc10; one for a 3' limo, one for a guy in England, and one I made as a wheely car and it had a magnesium front end. Re: Scorcher-10
I wanna say the last time I check Titanium prices where like $85.00 a pound...... Is that still the case? Not to mention hard to get (well at least 6AL-4V was about a year ago).
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Scorcher-10
8 + year bump.
This build became part of my unfortunate sell off when I got sick years back. Well, I got another set of tires so i think it's time to revisit it.
