Actually just was looking for a RC12E and then got a lot with another RC12i and some nice AE and Delta wheels and some other stuff.
Both need some cleaning but what makes me wonder is the RC12i. Was there a black version or are these fibreglass and plastic parts just dyed?
At the picture the black colour doesn´t look perfect but this is because of the flashlight. In reality I can´t say if it´s dyed or not.

Hi all, I'm new here.

I recently sorted out my collection of old race cars, I build and raced in Perth, Western Australia back in the early 1980's. Originally with a RC12e then later a RC12i.

:D I bought a new 10T back in 1992 when I was in 10th grade. It saw a lot of abuse and useage over the years and it has followed me to 4 different states and was not in working order for a long time. I was still messing with that reostat speed...

Picked the buggy up off craigslist and after a quick run started tearing it all apart. Everything has been put in paroxide, new jconcepts detonator body, new nose plate and a lot of cleaning. Really happy with the finished product.

In the course of some recent dealings, I've come across some old motors and ESCs that I thoguht I'd share. I haven't tested any of this stuff yet, but if it works, I'll probably make them earn their keep.

The ESC on the far right looks like a re badged JR esc.

It fits in where the servo goes for the MSC.

They had a heat sink on the side too. Was not a bad esc but very expensive in it's day. Well here in Australia anyway.

Heh, don't leave those NiCads on the charger! My dad blew up the original battery pack for my RC10 that way!
I've since upgraded to a 6 cell 7.2V NiMH and trickle charger, and it makes me feel much safer when I leave it on for a long time! :lol:...
