OK, some motions is about to happen on this car! Got some vacation time coming, and some new components!

Sent a couple things back to Tower and got a few more...

Adding:

Novak SmartStop
DuraTrax Intellispeed 8T
RPM two-stage shock piston valves
AE Shock Rebuild Kit (Fun... :? )
Deans Connectors
Replacement AE axles (same vintage type)
Various shiny-new-nuts

Hoping to get soon:
A new viper body to replace the cracked up one I've got
New wing
Front and back RPM A-Arms
Some Dragonplate birch-core CF to make a new rear shock tower...

Pictures to follow!

Hey Matt,
you have your heart set on that Sonic to use? Reason for asking is if you bought this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/130600524076?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
which will be less than:

after shipping and it would get you to brushless that is allready lipo setup. You could sell the Sonic(and whatever else electronics) to make it even cheaper yet. Would eliminate your maintenance time on the motor anyway. The link is shown as ended but the seller relists alot or there is links within it for a couple bucks more for the same thing. Well anyway, it was just a suggestion so if you had you were trying to keep brushed I just wasted some of your time  .
Keep us posted on your endeavor.

Good thoughts, thanks! I'm not specifically set on the sonic, but I like the way it moves, so I'm in no deep hurry. The Intellispeed has actually been here for weeks, I was waiting for the other stuff, so I can't return it at this point. But that probably would've been a good plan... Ah well. I'll probably go brushless in the end, but the sonic still has plenty of oomph for me, just a bit more maintenance I guess.

Here it is at last night's race at Maximus in York, ME. True, I came in dead last again, but my times were better than ever, and pretty close to coming in a bit higher than last. My fast lap was at least getting in the ballpark of the average lap times for the lower A-main people. I'm not just learning how to race this car, I'm learning how to race, period.
