RC10 Team Car Project
I am always looking for a project to do. With the holiday upon us and taking some time off from work as a result, I have prepped my schedule to tinker on another project and to keep myself busy. Thanks to CLM for the foundation of this project as I have a good starting point.
I am not 100% certain of where this will end up quite yet. I do know that this will be a runner though.
Here is the chassis as I have received it.

nice! love the team car , i think its by far one of the nicest looking rcs ever made. something about the black chassis and white parts that just looks cool to me. id just add new ae 2.2 wheels the white worlds steering and new ae body and you would have my fav rc setup of all time

Re: RC10 Team Car Project
Looking good! That trans looks so much better then when I got it... except for the sharpie ink on the bottom. Sharpie ink wipes away with a little solvent.... except on the white nylon! DOH!
While the 4 hole front tower is original to the car, are you going to upgrade it? What about the 1.02 rear shocks?

Yes, I think the tranny turned out really good IMO.clm wrote:Looking good! That trans looks so much better then when I got it... except for the sharpie ink on the bottom. Sharpie ink wipes away with a little solvent.... except on the white nylon! DOH!

I will keep the towers the same. I did not intend to change them.
I was going to give the rears a try as is and go from there. We shall see.

Re: RC10 Team Car Project
That chassis is too nice to run. I'd switch it out with a scratched up one if you plan to really run it

Re: RC10 Team Car Project
The chassis does indeed look nice. That is because it has been re-anodized. There are scratches in the bottom from its runner days, but those are somewhat hidden by the refinish.shodog wrote:That chassis is too nice to run. I'd switch it out with a scratched up one if you plan to really run it
Thanks for all of the compliments thus far guys!

Re: RC10 Team Car Project
It has been cleaned up a little But it is a good runner, maybe a sheet of chassis guard on the bottom... The nose plate however has never been used, I regret getting rid of the nose plate! lol It was a good candidate for cleanup for me as I had almost all the parts already and while the chassis was used and had 3 additional holes drilled in it it was not totally torn up. I think I had most of the white parts already; I only had to buy rear arms, rear tower, bell cranks, body mounts and battery cup.... but I realized I had little desire to own a team car.. Ooops!mdutcher wrote:The chassis does indeed look nice. That is because it has been re-anodized. Here are two pics to see what it looked like when it was a $62 shipped with bin on ebay.
