gt towers on a buggy?

I have seen some rc10t's converted into rc10b's and most of them keep the truck towers. I was thinking that I could use some more travel with my suspension. I don't like using too many limiters.

I have recently acquired some gt graphite towers for a very reasonable price.I know I could just buy some shorter shafts and forget about a more robust suspension but I thought it would be cool to use the truck towers on my buggy. It will require some intense modding and I might have to get a gt rear bulkhead for this to even work. It might even be pointless. You guys can go ahead and call me crazy now.

If you'd like to increase the travel in the rear of your rc10, try the rpm gt rear carriers. They require different (bigger) bearings, but they align the axle with the transmission outdrive better. You'll get less driveshaft plunge (in and out movement of the driveshaft within the outdrive) and that will allow you to remove shock limiters.
I dunno how that gt rear tower will go.. but don't let that stop you!
For more front travel, I'd go with one of the older front towers that allows fitting the gt front shocks.
I used to think this was a pretty boss thing to do, but if there is tonnes of travel, yer buggy might be able to roll too much in the corners and just flip over. It will also respond more slowly, like a monster truck instead of a race car.

Thanks for the info. I actually already have the gt carriers. I have already decided to trash the idea. It is too much work and like you said it is not the best for performance. I just got some fibre-lyte towers instead.
