Funny. I thought the two motor two tranny build was much easier to deal with, no way would I have been able to fiigure out the chain drive. Once I added the top brace to prevent chassis flex I figured that since I had two of many things why not two batteries also? :) For years I ran a Novak 828 speed controil, in later years changed to a Traxxas setup. Never ran with Lipos, that would really be fun.

We were also cutting chassis and suspension parts out, so doing the 4WD thing just seemed easy to me. The chains links on the Dog Fighter are easy to open and change so making the chain the correct length for the drive system was pretty straight forward. The Electrical thing of wiring two motors would have keep me up at night.
Old is more FUN

Hello!

Today I was bored and took a look at my disassembled rc10 A series and got the idea to make new pan and add another whole back end (shock tower, arm mounts, 6 gear transmission and motor). There is plenty of space on the pan, so mine would be little shorter too. But I just remembered mine is a buggy not truck... hmmm what do you think? Daryl Lane can you please tell me the dimensions of the truck and between axes?

This is project probably for next year, have to finish shark/vendetta 6x6 first

That thing is awesome! I would love to see a video of it running. It probably made all the other trucks pee there pants.
