Re: Vintage AE & I Got 870c Runners!
Wow Anthony, your car looks great! I love the green wheels the best. They seem to go very well with the gorgeous paint! And your running that?
Jay, I got the green wheel sets with some orange and light blue ones from a former Canadian Yokomo dealer but I don't think they are Yokomo brand. They came in a plain but sealed bag of 2 rear and 2 fronts! If I have an extra set, do I sense a trade for some 870c wings????
Anthony, how much did he charge you to do that body?
I'm working on my Yok's now. Getting my queens done first and then I will attack the aluminium runner and get it going! I ordered wheel bearings from Boca, should be in, in about a week!

He's got some special spacers coming from Jake via me to make those pink wheels fit just finexxxmain wrote:Both wheels look amazing!!!!... as the entire build does. But, you need to rock the green rims as the pink ones are the narrow offset I believe and it makes to car look too narrow.
Great YZ10!!

Rod... maybe. I've got some light colored green wheels, but those are a deeper green than I have. Me likes.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Got my front shocks on. Currently setting with a #2 piston, green shocks, 30wt oil and one old school retainer washer
I got to remember to get some o-rings for the caps.
It feels soft, so I might increase the weight in the oil. It will be some time before getting it to the track, but I will figure it out then.

Re: Vintage AE & I Got 870c Runners!
I'm going green inside too
I love the fact that you can see the green motor from the back. Once it's opened up there's a green servo and more green on the esc...gonna have to call this 870c a Prius soon
Once I get the batteries in place and loose the factory battery post with replacing them with velcro straps I can place the receiver and organize those wires. And, get a matching servo horn too.

Re: Vintage AE & I Got 870c Runners!
I know, just couldn't bring myself to do it. I figured once we get those battery straps I can find more room for the receiver. I got the email back from Puretech and they said they shipped the straps out on Aug. 29th and I confirmed that I do have the correct mailing address. The old effer father in law needs to put on his reading glasses and take a better look at his mailslotcarrod wrote:I can understand why you didn't cut the ears on the servo!

I paid $45 for the paint job, but bought the body and wings off of ebay and sent them directly to him. Then I paid for shipping to my place, so all in it cost about $90 CND.
It will be a blast to run a couple of the runners together. I wonder if I will be better at driving a 4wd than I am with a 2wd

I would love to meet up, but when I told my wife I wanted to meet up with you on our last visit to which she said you were going to likely rape and kill me since I only met you on the internetCharlie don't surf wrote:Make sure you come another 2 hours south!!!
