Can someone accurately measure the length of an RC10 wing tube for me please, both sets i have are wedged into the bulkheads and i fear damaging them if thet are pulled out with to much force!
The wing tube's diameter is 3/16" or close to 5mm.
The wing tube's length is 2-3/64" or around 52mm.
I wouldn't worry about damaging them when you pull them out. Use a cloth in between the pliers and tube if you're afraid of leaving tool marks on them. I didn't need to do this, however, I am going to clean, polish and seal mine before I re-install them.
if you can take the tower off the bulkhead, and you have a drill, you can chuck the tubing in the drill chuck and wiggle/twist the chuck and bulkhead, the tubes should come out without marring up the tubing.
you are basically using the drill chuck as a 'handle' and the three jaws prevents you from marring up the tubing or collapsing it.
wing tubes are tight at times and are just pressed into bulkhead . Try putting the bulkhead and tubes in boilng water that should free them up. But if you mess them up try these. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXS020&P=7
I wish someone would reply to my battery strap thread. Yeah - off-topic. But I'm now sorta jealous that this thread is getting more attention than the simple question that I asked for.

Try posting in the wanted thread. I just looked in the parts box I have and no strap or I would send it to ya for free.

I'm still searching for a suitable dog bone replacement for the DS dogbone 8867
Looking at shapeways someone made a 8867 dogbone
the specs are
1.84 x 0.39 x 0.24 inches
(46.736 mm) x (10mm)x(6.3mm)
Since that is end to end it seems like there...

Pin diameter is also important because between brands there is a difference, I've measured some that had a pin a smidge too large to fit into the associated slots.
Yeah.
Tamiya ball and pin size is slightly too large for AE cars.
Im working on attaching a wire wing to the pod of my 10L and I cannot seem to identify the name of the part that mounts the wire to the pod. RC-10's use those two aluminum posts pressed into the rear bulkhead. Im looking for similar mounts for the...
Anyone able to help me out put some old RC videos on the tube? My brother had my grandfather's VHS tapes burned to CD/DVD. From what I can tell, it looks like the files are .vbo files. I don't have a clue how to split them up and place them on the...

.vob files are dvd file extensions and need to be converted to .avi files like mentioned above. If you bring the .vob files into windows movie maker and then re-output them as .avi files, you can then run a program called hjsplit to split them up if...
Long story short, I picked up a heap that had 3/4 of a truck conversion on it. It was missing the body mounts, so I picked one up from Team CRP. The problem I have is I've got an aluminum nose plate and flat carbon chassis with no way to mount nose...

Something like this ?
Those are very nice and would work...also very overkill for this pile :|
Hi everyone! Here's a tube chassis I've been tinkering on for quite some time. This one is actually a prototype, Serial Number 1. I have several of these chassis built with various changes to each one, but those haven't been photographed yet. I will...

Love the chassis build
have you considered releasing build sheets for the DIY peeps
