I want to use some alclad chrome, to accent the side grills on the super champ. Currently have Tamiya Primer Under Tamiya Black.
Want to use alclad over the black

Then Top it with clearcoat by testors

will i have to worry about peeling or paint incompatibility?

Re: Alclad over Tamiya paint, topped with Testor's clear?
Word has always been that anything over the top of the ALCLAD will dull it back towards silver. ALCLAD would have their own protective clear coat or recommendation if it was possible, so my hunch is that it is not.
The Tamiya black base paint will work. However, because it's a thinner paint (like all the Tamiya paints), it will be a more important to have all the imperfections out of the surface before you start with the Tamiya Black, as any will show in the chrome at the end of the day. The grills do have that fine detail and the Tamiya paint would be good at preserving that.
I used black lacquer Krylon myself as an ALCLAD base, and got a real good polish to it with wet sand=>rubbing compound.

Alclad has a black base that works great. I have used Alclad chrome over their black base and covered it with Createx gloss clear with great results. Looks only slightly less shiny than my chrome plated stuff. If you do not compare side to side, it is hard to tell.
