Project 3

Post by Volumiza »

Just putting a few pictures of this here 'cos its about to be dismantled for a while for a major rebuild. this was going to be a runner (aren't they all?) but i decided against it. it's not really going to look much like this by the time its finished, but i thought i'd get some pictures up at the start of its journey.

it's in bits at present and waiting for the arrival of a few epay wins. the pan is no longer blue as i stripped it down in the hope there may be a nice gold pan underneath (should have left it well alone!!!), but i only did that because i'd won a NIP black pan and noseplate. i tend to switch between projects regularly so i'm focused on my basher at the minute. this project's just simmering away in the background :)

well, the pan looked in mint condition so i gambled and stripped it. it was either gonna go two ways. it was either gonna be for my gold pan resto if it was really really nice or for this car. in the end it's not going to be for either as the bottom of it was just smoothed down filler  . should have known really eh? it don't matter too much really as i've got a new pan for this car now and the cr*p pan will now be shortened for a willy's jeep or a beetle project later down the line, it can always be resprayed.

Very nice. I've always like the rake the associated bodies have. They really look aggressive.

well, the end is almost in sight. i have some nice bell cranks and an rpm stealth conversion on their way. all it really needs now is some better rpm heavy duties and some nice wing nuts and ... and i really want a nice #3 decal which i just can't seem to find the right one.
