New BK Project
My Losi collection begins with the JRX series and ends with the XX series and I want another Kinwald buggy to display next to my XX CR Kinwald.
While I have owned a MF2 truck,I'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to the XXX series.
What are the differences between a XXX BK1,XXX BK2,XXX and the XXX CR?
What would be the easiest to recreate using a XXX buggy as a donor?
I guess a BK1 would be the obvious choice and best for sitting next to the XX Kinwald, but I'm open to a BK2.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: New BK Project
I have a brand new BK2, and took apart a bitsa XXX with all kind of parts on it inc spares. The BK2 is very different, inc trans, so if you want to recreate a BK2 from a standard XXX it's going to be a lot of work and you'd be better off just getting a BK2. The chassis is graphite on the BK2 along with most of the parts which are plastic on the XXX. The EA3 plastic is again different material to the original plastic on the XXX. I don't know that much on the XXX to be honest, the guys on here will know a lot more.
Here's some shots of my never run XXX BK2 so you can see the extent of the graphite parts and different trans:

Re: New BK Project
No problem, you can get some of the manuals from the Losi site still if I remember right, download them and you can see the parts differences in the parts explosion docs also (should also be on the losi site).

Re: New BK Project
The xxx BK1 and BK2 use the same parts and graphics on the chassis and A arms . The difference between the two are trans and trans mount. Bk2 also used blue molded parts and wheels.

Hi, I believe the BK1 had the blue wheels and parts, BK2 was on yellow wheels and black parts:rctenracer wrote:The xxx BK1 and BK2 use the same parts and graphics on the chassis and A arms . The difference between the two are trans and trans mount. Bk2 also used blue molded parts and wheels.

No problem, my pics above are of a kit built BK2 for more details, it's all a bit confusing so many years after the fact!rctenracer wrote:Thanks for the heads up .
