Actually Rod, I'm not sure. I looked back into the thread to reread things and didn't find any info on it. Maybe Reg PM'd me about it. I will check my inbox.

I PM'd Dave for Rod. You have me thinking I'm a shittier reader than I thought. I couldn't find any mention about this, because if I knew about it I wouldn't have spent $50 on this one.Charlie don't surf wrote:Assoman's BST thread had a Pavidis one complete

I think when we were messaging about the runner parts I recommended it as a great performance part but, as complicated as yokomo cars are with all the revisions I don't know if it made it clear that it would be compatible with the 870's

Re: Vintage AE & I Got 870c Runners!
I picked up a set of pink ones just for comparison and use one set with the vintage tires for display and the other with modern tires for running.Charlie don't surf wrote:I can make you some, but the easiest thing to do us get some of the.JC racing 2.2 wheels and put some jconcepts goose bumps on them-
If the offset is the same as the original I will save the vintage tires on the vintage wheels and use the new ones with new tires.
But, if the new ones have a more narrow offset I will put the vintage tires on them for the shelf and use the vintage wheels with spliced modern tires on the front and modern rubber on the rear.

Re: Vintage AE & I Got 870c Runners!
I'm making a little more progress with my runner. The electronics are in with green tying into the paint scheme I'm going with. I have to wait for the painted body to show up to show it off. I tried unsoldering the wires and shortening them, but they were as stubborn as the Novak wires are. I tried to change out some Novak wire on a Havoc esc and almost gave up. This time I gave up right away and saved me the headache
The JCracing wheels are nice, but haven't looked too close at the offset, but initially, they look like there would be a narrower front track. I think the vintage tires will end up on the new wheels and new rubber on the vintage wheels. The vintage wheels are scuffed already and I wont have to worry about the offset.
I'm still waiting on my Team shocks to arrive. I bought a RPM RC10 gear cover and a Worlds battery strap along with the shocks and because I the one shipping payment the guy is trying to tell me I haven't paid for some of the stuff and wont send me my stuff. I told him to figure it out and send my crap asap

Did you get the rear belts from Reg yet? I would like to finish mine!
Looks good apart from the "rat nest" you call wiring!

Yeah, I guess it looks pretty bad from that angle. It's actually pretty free from the belt and functional. I ordered those battery straps today BTW

Re: Vintage AE & I Got 870c Runners!
belts, what belts
I will bring them with me, along with all the other extra parts.
The original tires don't fit on the new wheels very good, so I have to use the Losi Step Pins with the new wheels. There is a 3mm difference in offset for the front wheels, so I think I will have to use some long front arms to make up the difference.

Re: Vintage AE & I Got 870c Runners!
My wife received my painted body in the mail today, so I got her to send me photos. I'm away for work and will be able to drop my front wheels to Rod for Losi step pins to be mounted. Just waiting on my team shocks and the front wheels spacers (from Reg) in the mail. Should be too much longer before she's at the track.
