well Durafix and aluminum rod were a huge epic failure. stuff just didnt flow and didnt stick well.. i tryed a aluminum braze rod with flux also and that was a failure too, i knew when the welding supply place said i needed a oxy-acetylene torch to use it, it wouldnt turn out well... guess ill stick with a stainless tube cage, it wont actually add much weight to it at all if i do it right. i would add some pictures but it would be a pile of aluminum rods lol
