Scorcher-10

Post by scr8p »

well, eventually. :)

i finally have the platform i wanted for my build-up. a very clean, not beaten up gold tub. it took 2 cars to get a nice one. the tub is a little discolored, but there's no extra holes or wicked gouges. a little at the rear kickup, but that's it. i spent some time cleaning everything up, and re-assembling it. once i have the body, i'll be able to shorten the tub, and do all of the other mods. so, here it is for now..................

That is too pretty to chop up. But you got a ton of em' like that probably. 'Twill make a super Scorcher.

Hmmmm, Novak brushless power, 4800 LiPo energy source, 2.4Ghz radio with high torque/speed servo.
I'm thinking....yep......yep......it's coming to me.....YES!!!!

Super Scorcher!!

actually, i only have 5 gold tubs. 4 built, and one spare tub. i also still have the one you (tad) gave me for my giveaway contest in another couple months.

the car is pretty nice. but, it's not nice enough to not cut up for this project. i did have second thoughts about using this tub, instead of my extra one, but it just has too many scratches on the bottom for me to happy with the finished product once it's done.

brushless? lipo? 2.4 Ghz? it's all greek to me. i like my rc cars like my real cars. old.

this will be more like ko propo ex-5 radio, tekin 411p, and a lightspeed mod.

Ol' Skool Super Scorcher

i'm gonna pray each night before i get into bed that one magically appears on my doorstep. :)

it's gonna feel kinda weird, though. usually before i get into bed, i only have to pray that my wife doesn't have a headache.

HAHA, thats why you offer her two aspirin. When she says "I don't need those because I don't have a headache" then you reply with a big grin, "Gooood"!

Sweet. RC10 Scorcher projects rule!

Nothing is too nice to chop up. I chopped a NIB black tub for my project. If you do it right the first time, you'll have yourself one sweet custom machine.

"measure twice, cut once"

Or, the Homer Simpson method works too:
"Who's feeling stupid, I know I am!"
