jconcepts vs. rpm ball cups

Post by scr8p »

are these ball cups appoximately the same length? i want to order the tie rods for one of my cars. i already know what lengths i need to get... if i use the rpm cups. but i'd like to try the jconcepts cups on new build. so, i need to know if i have to + or - my tie rod measurements.

sorry for the delay, yesterday ended up being a long day and I didn't get a chance to look at them until this morning.

RPM cup dimensions:
(approximately)
end of thread side to center of cup:
0.630"
internal threaded length
.490"

jconcepts:
end of thread side to center of cup:
.700"
internal thread length:
.570

so the jconcept ones will give you roughly .070" on each side of the turnbuckle over the rpm cups.

no problem dude.....

yeah, as long as you had .070" of thread showing at proper adjustment on each side of the turnbuckle with the rpm ends, the jconcepts would fit in the same place. If not, you could always trim the end down with an exacto.
