Does anyone know if the nylon washer that goes between the 6 gear outdrive and the dog bone is really necessary? I've rebuilt the transmission with new black idlers and outdrive bearings, but it didn't have the nylon inserts. This was a craigslist find, complete with monster truck wheels and wooden dowel rod body mounts. If the washers are necessary, does anyone know what size I could get from a hardware store that would work?
Thanks in advance!

Re: 6 Gear Outdrive Nylon Washers
Just get new ones. The sping and washer help keep the dogbone in place.

Re: 6 Gear Outdrive Nylon Washers
Thanks for the link. I do already have the springs in the axles, and I've been running it without the nylons and haven't had the bones slip out yet. I just didn't know if it would do any damage to the outdrive cups or anything without them. But that's cheap enough I guess I might as well get a set with my next order.
