Losi truck wheels with lexan cover but not LXT... what then?

Post by Lonestar »

Hi Guys

sorry - no pics :?

In my stash of Losi parts, and as I'm getting finally close to being done with my runner LXT (which as usual is taking much more time and $ than initially thought  ) I was looking for some shoes for her... I found out some new period rubber mounted on (what I thought were LXT) new "natural" wheels with the lexan wheel cover and all 8) . However they don't fit the LXT axles, but smaller ones instead, they use a pin, and they appear to be somewhat chamfered around the pin. I sold my new built Jr-T (grrrr silly me) a while ago, so I can't check whether they fit... Any idea what these are?

Thanks for the help,
Paul

losi made that style wheel to fit the rc10t as well. sounds to me like those are the rears you have. the fronts were the same between the two.

thanks Scr8p - makes sense indeed, the chamfering should have helped me make the connection myself. Let me try them again on a 10T tonight to check it out. Thanks for the help.

Are these a rare sight at all, or they're fairly common?

thanks
:)

They are easier to find than the LX-T rears

And you can drill them easily enough with care to fit, with a little shimming between the wheel and the lexan disk they fit really well, they have a very slightly deeper offset but nothing that other than very educated eye would pick up on
