Need help identifying sway bar links please.

Post by Mindwarp »

These sway bar links were on my RC10 when I bought it. I've done some searching but can't find out anything about them. Does anyone know who made them? Also, on a technical note, wouldn't sway bar links that are articulated in the centre kind of defeat the purpose of having a sway bar?

I'm still new at this but from what I gather, these are not the original links right??

Looks like some kind of Du-Bro airplane linkage to me.

Also used in boats. I think they're called Kwik Links.

I think you guys are right. I never thought to think of a/c linkages. Thanks!

So much for my dreams of having found some 'OMG-super-rare-RC10-parts'

Parma made a kit that used those type of links.

You're a genius Jack! 8) http://restorerc.blogspot.com/2009/09/parma-sway-bar-kit-restoration-how-to.html
A quick google search confirms that they indeed are Parma parts.

CRP also made some very similar ones in black. I've used them on my Fox: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10918&start=15

So I guess they are incredibly rare, perhaps the last known set in existence!

I found this piece of paper in the parts box, looks like they were made especially for this application. The very top is faded so I can't make out the part number or mfg.

Parma front and rear sway bar kit is seen on eBay every so often. I dug this out of my hop-ups box and maybe I'll use it on a build that I'm working on as they do look pretty cool, I'd kind of forgotten about it.
