That is some sweet box art 8) I'll be watching your build comments JK to see if you encounter any of the "fettling" issues that others have spoken of.

i will say that the screws are quite cumbersome to start in some cases. blue bird servo was a bit large, but mr dremel let me get that squared away (not losi's fault, the servo isnt a standard size).

Do they supply a steel 'Tap' screw like Losi have done in the past with most of the composite plastic cars? This was always a big help :)

How did Losi come up with the name "22"? Sorry, if I missed it somewhere. Does anyone know?

It has 2 motor configurations (rear and mid) and is 2 wheel drive. It's nothing more complex than that.

I heard the name came from the fact that to keep the project secret they had to hire 22 secret agents and furthermore there were 22 prototypes which will all be destroyed on March 22, 2022. Really, I heard it from my friend who knows this girl who dated this guy who saw a factory team driver at the grocery store who confirmed it.

I heard it is because they came up with the idea on 02-22-2002...no wait, that is my son's birthday.

I will post some build pics tonight.

it was named 22 because after jrx2 was release (89), it took them 22 years to build another serious race car.
if my memory serves me right.
