Doug... Amazing work then, amazing work now.
I think that M&M's body you did was the one that made me realize your immense talent. That was GROUNDBREAKING for the era... it stuck in my mind, that's for sure. Probably the only thing I really remember to this day from the Chicago RCHTA show that year. LOL!!!
Looking at those 80's bodies of yours really brings back memories. I'd give $100 for a can of that Coverite black cobwebs spray paint. I really used the heck out of that stuff!

Thanks guys, it means a lot to me. Most of those were done more than half of my life ago (if not all of them). Geesh, I have been doing this stuff a long time. I recall when there was no lexan paint available and guys used vinyl upholstery paint to paint their cars.
I miss those times when painters were trying everything to do something different. Now it seems like guys are trying to do something just like the next guy, and there is very little creativity anymore. Maybe racing and R/C has gotten to be too complicated now, and everything has been done before.
I found a few more oldie paint jobs from a little later on for me (right about 1991 or so). I'll post those when I get to the office.

Those bodies were def. repros I compared the one I bought to the body from my NIB kit and there are def some differences. I'm a little leary about that woman having the mold... especially for what they cost to make. Sounds like a good markety ploy to sell some bodies to discerning buyers like us. I'm sure if Losi didn't have it anymore it would be because it broke. No one throws out a mold that cost 1000's to make. NO ONE

what kind if differences? could you be more precise? maybe with comparison shots in a specific thread, because we are highjacking this one, which is probably one of the best hereErich Reichert wrote:Those bodies were def. repros I compared the one I bought to the body from my NIB kit and there are def some differences.
