One of my favorite kyosho ultima collection
this is one of my favorite kyosho ultima collections:hot trick trailing arms red ultima.the kit including many aftermarket options:whole set hot trick upgrade options,Robinson 48P Counter & Spur gears,Throp ultima differential and special swing shafts.it is very cool and pretty rare.

That's a fine example you have there. Love all the period hop-ups too, you have to keep that one in pristine condition for the archives....

Who made those sliding axles? I've never seen any on an ultima before.

I think may be Throp,but not very sure,the differential and sliding axle like a whole set option,lock nut is 8-32, anyone have idea about it?Mr. ED wrote:Who made those sliding axles? I've never seen any on an ultima before.

Those look like Robinson Racing telescoping axles. They made them, along with the diff, for a few vehicles. I have exactly the same diff/driveshaft set-up on my Blackfoot. The Thorp equivalent used dog bones rather than telescoping driveshafts I believe - the Thorp diff was pretty similar though. A very strong and sturdy drive train all in all...
