Lazer?
Hey guys. I dont know alot about vintage Kyosho RCs so I need some help. Is this a Kyosho Lazer? I found it on craigslist for $75, but I'm pretty sure I could get it for a cheaper price. Also, are repo bodies available?

Re: Lazer?
It's a Kyosho Optima Mid of some kind.

Re: Lazer?
the chassis looks too narrow to be a lazer I think.
can you take the car outside and take a picture of just the car filling the entire frame? better light and a bigger picture might really help

Re: Lazer?
Yeah, looks more like a Turbo Optima.
HWS....its not my car. Its listed on craigslist in my area. I just copied the pics and put them on here. I'll probably pass on buying it if its an Optima.

It’s an Optima MID, perhaps a Turbo Optima MID! You can buy repro body, wing, under tray and decals from Marwan on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/KYOSHO-TURBO-OPTIMA-MID-BODY-DECALS-WING-UNDER-TRAY-/180612636501?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a0d5a1f55

Re: Lazer?
It's not a Turbo Optima, as the motor's not in the rear and I don't see a wide upper deck. It's a Mid of some sort.Momo5 wrote:Yeah, looks more like a Turbo Optima.

Did the Turbo Optima Mid have a long or short wheelbase chassis?

Re: Lazer?
If I remember correctly the Mid is SWB, the Custom and Custom Special are LWB.
