I also have one with no stamp, but holes on the R shock tower, and alum spacers on the outputs.....and thats how it was from the box when I bought it new in '89-'90.DerbyDan wrote:I have two Jrx2s that both have no-stamp motor plates, but have the usual rear tower with the holes.... only one of those cars has the aluminium spacers on the gearbox outputs.... confusing!
Yeah - i'm just not sure if they ever made it onto the X2? - I think they first appeared with the release of the Pro & maybe made there way onto the JRXT, i've just never seen a new-built (from kit) JRX2 with the wide collers.... that said I maybe (read probably) wrongRCveteran wrote:Somewhere along the way as I understand they went to the wide collars as shown in this thread.

And yes, the no hole shock tower is the very early one with no engraved motor plate. Then it switched to the holes on the rear shock tower but still included a non engraved motor plate, I have one each of these new and as a side both had aluminum outdrive rings as well.
Well, just noticed the box art car for the JRX-Pro shows the thin collers, so I guess the wide ones were never included in JRX-2 kitsRCveteran wrote:You could be right, I am not sure how to confirm that until someone opens a new X2 box and finds them. I have a new in package shock set which has the thin collars.
