Well thanks to mrlexan I now have another amazing Dog Fighter with homemade alloy parts in my collection.
Cheers Jay I appreciate the help!!!!
I really love how Dog Fighter owners seemed to have there own machine tools and made there own parts. The machining on this car is really good and has some really nice touches.
The home made alloy parts:-
Front lower a-arms
Dual shock mount
Upper spine plate
Chain tensioner
Roll bar
Upper shock mounts
Front and rear body mounts
Lower shock mounts/swing arm brace
Rear sway bar/swing arm retainer
Rear bulkhead
Wheel covers
I have borrowed my friends camera and will take pictures of it tonight.
I would also like your opinions on what the right way to restore it would be?
I would like to keep this model faithfull to how it was raced and after cleaning it, was wondering where I should stop...I mean I have to change the front shock setup to duals, then I might change the rears from Kyosho to RPS, then maybe some new hop-ups...then hasn't it become another car, or have I made it my own?
What's your thoughts?
Cheers
Ed
