Kranzels is (one of) my lhs. They relocated earlier this year, about a mile from the old location, for those of you that didn't know. I stop by once a week, or so. I was just there a few days ago checking out the c/w street-trac tires and rims, but I didn't see any foam tires/wheels except for truck ( not c/w). The shop is a little smaller now and they don't have a track anymore . They have a lot of SC truck tires and very few buggy and truck tires.
If the Thorpe product was old stock, it is gone. I don't recall seeing anything thorpe hanging on the wall and I frequent "the wall" often . If David is holding out on me...
I talked to David last week, he said they uncovered them during the move.
No Reg, they are up for grabs, I have one set NIP that I've had for a long time, used to run them BITD and always had issues with the aluminum topshafts.
Me too, they were garbage-as were the Robinson Ti topshafts. IDK how you can machine a perfect gear and all the other dimensions except the diameter of the shaft ( slightly undersized )
and I would spend hours trying to get the tranny free and never get it right-

really? I'll give David a call in that case, I know he still has some thorp 64p 2.25 gearsets on the wall too, with the alloy topshaft!
He has one set left and a few seperate top shafts and idler gears. To bad the diff and idler are plastic.
Back-story:
So a fellow RCer who works at a different hobby shop was talking about a sportsmans Stock oval class. They already have a few guys running dirt oval with the Dominator style sprint style buggies as well as a popular Slash 2wd class.
He...

First and foremost, I know NOTHING about oval racing, but for some reason I thought I remembered cars running 1 short and one longer arm, but maybe I am crazy. I know that some of the bodies were offset and ran large wing dams.
A guy at my local track has a dirt oval car and he doesnt know what it is, it has a stealth tranny but that is about all we can figure out.

Actually, many of the parts are no longer available directly from Team Cobra.
Tell your friend to check out because they seem to have a load of Cobra parts still available. They even still sell NIB Nemesis kits. I ordered some Cobra rear arm...

Any suggestions then, I have already ordered a McAllister #237 Bakersfield Late Model body 10” wide because this is what was suggested for a buggy conversion, I plan on running SC10 front hex conversion axles and spindles so the wide gt spindles are...
I have been trying to use the search on this site, don't know if it's this crap Iraq internet. Some sites are not too accessible. If there is a thread for this somewhere, gladly refer me and delete this thread.

Thanks Doug, I'm a member over there. I made this post after looking through the gallery at DO.com. However not a lot of vintage rides over there in the gallery. I seen the incredible detail people on this site put into their rides. So what I was...
I thought about putting this in the re-re section because all the plastics are new, but the TPS and bottom-loaders with notched-pistons made me keep it here. :D
I'm planning to run this next season at my local dirt oval, and possibly the rest of...
Been awhile since I have posted anything new. Have barely found the time to visit the board let alone build anything. Got some free time over the weekend and wrapped up a couple stalled projects.
This one is a BME oval chassis with some random...

i like your chassis bracing. i'm using a&l's at them moment but yours looks sharp!
Im sure the dementions will depend on this or that. The only thing I know is we will mostly be running 1/8 and 1/10 whatever . Maybe just tell me about the largest and smallest youve been to and which you like for running what. Heck, whatever you...
