Tyre (Tire) Choices
Just received my new 2.2 wheels for my graphite car and had a look through others tyre choices, which seem to be pro-lines or jconcepts is there much difference between the two.
I'm looking for ribbed on the front and a spike on the rears.
Cheers
Rich

Re: Tyre (Tire) Choices
what kind of surface?
i like jconcepts "groovy's" for front ribs.
for loose tracks i like proline calibers out back, for hardpack/blue groove i'm partial to jconcepts double dees or losi's bk bars if it's really clean.

Re: Tyre (Tire) Choices
Best bet is to check out what other people are running at the track and copy them!
For the UK, then general rule of thumb is:
Outdoors: Astro/Grass -
DRY: yellow Schuey minispikes (slims on the front or possibly staggered ribs)
WET: green Ballistic Buggy mini spikes on the rear and on the front either green slim schuey mini spikes or ballistics with the outer rows of spikes cut (you can't get 2wd ballistic fronts).
Indoors: carpet/polish - yellow Schuey minipins
We don't have the tracks for prolines, etc to work - unless the Proline Dirt Arena gets another venue!
Obviously ignore the 2nd part of my post if you're not going to be running in the UK!
