I just read all the news. My knee jerk reaction was "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" as I have 1 NIB 2 New Built, 2 Restorations in progress, and project Avante. After reading the lates news I'm very excited for the new updated Avante. Looks like Tamiya is doing a great job re-making the Avante with a good mix of updates and keeping it original. This keeps the Original Avante still collectable but allows people to get an Avante they always wanted but didn'twant to fork up the $$$$ for one and for me lets me run one again! Looks like I will have a new vintage racer

I was never a huge Avante fanatic, but I always did think they were cool. Looking at the exploded view and the discrption of the new kit, it sounds like a ton of fun. Maybe I'll have to get one, it would be fun to put together and maybe even race up in CT for the vintage nats.
So I'm lucky and have a Japanese wife to translate all the good info I could find. Looks like the first pre-orders will come with a limited T-shirt. The kit will include a 1700SCR battery, a modren motor, and stickers for the motor to resemble the technigold motor.
I am in for one when they come out. I wish it was the egress instead. Have not searched tamiya stuff in awhile but the prices on ebay for the avante and egress are just crazy.

x2.
I would prefer the Egress as well, because it had Ti hardware and woven CF chassis plates. Since the re-re Avante has gone to a woven CF chassis and machined Alum parts (vs. cast), I will pick one up and be happy! Besides, if Tamiya re-re's the Egress, I will buy that too and be even happier
Re-Avante landed our shore yesterday afternoon and its selling like hot cakes
Others are quite dissapointed about the bonus part which is DF03 wheels. but who cares its free anyway
all those who bought they notice the blister pack around the motor but dont care whether its a crack or defect just buy buy buy

Bought one of your JRX2 bodies off of eBay - Just got it back from the painter - cut it out/reamed out the holes as marked and it does not fit properly. VERY disappointed. I'd be happy to post pics if you have any suggestions.
Looking forward to being a member of the forum. About this time every year I renew my love for the hobby. Much to my surprise when I started snooping around I saw a Classic was reissued. Can't tell you how excited I am. I just ordered one and I'm...

You've got that right. I'm so excited to start this build. Thinking one of the brushless set ups raided from an RTR kit I've been reading about. Never dealt with brushless...should be fun. Bought my son a Re-Re Grasshopper, so this should be a fun...
RCCA has a preview of the new factory team SC10 kit. It has new shocks, threaded on the bottom, and now come standard with the bleeder caps.

I ran a Kyosho ZX-5 when it first came out. It had the velvet shocks, and all I can say is that I never had issues out of them. Very smooth, easy to build. The bad thing about them at the time was their lack of available spring rate options. I'm...
That sucks, I just spent (in my mind) way too much for a NIP bodyset. I guess the parts will become cheap here shortly to those restoring an older one.....

It is, its a custom GSX conversion by Jeff Harper. Matter of fact, I'm 99% it was his personal car-
