Slotcarrod's First RC10DS
I got this very late version RC10DS gem from Paul (treehugger) a few months ago. It was new built from the box by Paul. It originally had a Camaro body, which I still have. But after seeing another members Tim Allen Mustang, I had to have that body on it! I just thought it looked so nice and I always loved the Home Improvement show.
It has universals and bearings added, it originally had black (I think plastic) shocks so I had Paul put the nicer gold ones on. It also originally came with foam mounted wheels. I love the older DS rubber, so Paul put some new rubber and wheels with gold inserts on for me.
I did not want to put yellow spoked touring car wheels on it as per the original Tim Allen car. I love the DS wheels and tires, so I painted the gold inserts white and then bright yellow. The white was to make the yellow stand out!
Later I will add period electronics and batteries to the car!

It's a shame these guys weren't starring in the American version of Top Gear..they would have been perfect...slotcarrod wrote:How can you not love these guys? What a pair of comics!![]()
