Re: "RC10 Chrome Pan Runner"
the silver looks really good. I bought one from the Everything RC store (http://www.hobbyetc.com/) in Nashua and had it powder coated black. It is pretty shiny to begin with. Not as clean and shiny as the chrome, but good.

Re: "RC10 Chrome Pan Runner"
That looks pretty cool. I'd personally go with either polished or even chromed shocks. the threads would need to be stripped to work obviously. Maybe go with silver springs and even chromed towers. I guess what I'm saying is make the whole damn thing chrome and white!
As for the condition of the chassis, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Once the wheels(chrome wheels of course
)are on it no one will even notice. Unless you're racing at the highest level with a world class driver at the wheel it will change very little about how you perceive it. Not that I mean to imply that anyone on here is not a world class driver!
How much did it cost to get the stuff chromed if you don't mind me asking? I wouldn't mind getting some of my GT parts chromed. Nice build!

Re: "RC10 Chrome Pan Runner"
couldnt agree more about the bent chassis...and i like all the chrome ideas...
as for the price to get something plated im not really sure...i bought nose chassis and motor threw ebay...the guy who does it had the chrome buggy on ebay that i think sold for 200 or so yesterday...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270637125785&ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT
i paid a whopping 80 for my three items...
atleast they did free shipping
its ok its worth it to me
he said he was gunna send me 10T nose for free in two weeks when he goes to plate things again...

Easily within my 3 favorite r/c cars I've ever laid eyes on(all of which happen to be RC10s).

Re: "RC10 Chrome Pan Runner"
when i stripped my shocks.
i filled the ends of the shock bodys with moldeling clay then used a nail stuck in my vice and stuck it in the clay , it keeps the insides from getting eaten by the cleaner.
And used the easy off yellow the gold comes of real fast so a few goes at it is better than leaving it on for to long as it will start eatting the alloy
