so after a new remanufactured head, head gasket kit,
please tell me that you spent the money on the 11mm Mopar Performance head bolts and Mopar Performance head gasket. those alone are worth their weight in gold for the 2.2/2.5 engines. but dont get me started on 4 cyl mopars, i had a 87 dodge daytona pacifica 2.2l turbo that was a far cry from stock with 11 lbs of boost.

i think it was a fel-pro head kit. it came with all of the gaskets, new head bolts, etc.......

well you got lucky on the head gasket anyway. at one time i saw a list of all the available head gaskets on a mopar forum that compaired them by material and durability and the mopar one was #1 followed by the fel-pro. the head bolts was another big issue the originals would stretch like crazy, the 11mm bolts eliminated that issue. i assume the bolts that came in your kit should be the upgraded ones. when i was doing research on mine i think most gasket/bolt kits for 85-94 models were automatically upgraded due to the common problems. you should be fine then just never run cheap gas in it, the compression ratios were high in thoes engines you have to run 89-92 octane in them.
here is where most of my go-fast goodies came from http://www.forwardmotioninc.com/
ive rambled on long enough now back to the cutlass.

started sandblasting the frame on sunday, but had to stop because of rain. spent the day yesterday studding out the new closet in my kid's bedroom (total gut and remodel). so today, we got the frame finished and painted. i forgot to take pics after i got it sprayed though. i just wanted to get home.

here's the body up on the dolly we made. once we got it outside, we figured we'd better set the dolly on some blocks since it is gonna be sitting there awhile. i think we are exceeding the max load rating for the wheels, and didn't want to blow them out. if it was an empty shell, it'd probably be fine. but it's a complete body. doors, trunk, full interior, all of the glass, etc. it's pretty friggin' heavy.............

That is an awesome car. Doing builds like that is fun. Well I think so anyway. When I did my 64 fury I wanted to do that but space was limited and my dad said no. That is a great project good luck with the build.

An old Olds 442 is a beautiful thing, scr8p. Love the curves and muscular haunches!
