Re: double oring shock cartidge question
Yes for sure the last design of shock cartridge fit the old shock bodies.
But for sure, if the shock shaft will fit the cartridge, the length will be wrong.
The new style cartridge is really shorter than the original design.

Re: double oring shock cartidge question
I believe the new cartridges come with plastic spacers to make up the difference in length?

Re: double oring shock cartidge question
the 5015's should come with 2 spacers of different heights. Here is a scan of the 2 instruction sheet revisions that I could find that shows where to put which spacers. Interesting that they show different combinations for different vehicles despite them all having had the same cartridges to begin with.
I'm not sure if the newer 5015 packaging includes the sheets anymore.

Re: double oring shock cartidge question
I looked through my parts box and just found a newer 5015 package, with the turquoise header card. It has a revision"C" sheet which only contains the "Cartridge Assembly" paragraph and figure 2 from the original sheets, no info on where to use the spacers, but it does include them, and they are still pictured on the stock photo on horizon.com

Re: double oring shock cartidge question
Yes I have both package styles. I did not pay attention enough to notice the instructions. I only used the long spacer inside the piston on the rear and it appears to be working well.
