New Cherokee project

Post by SteveK »

Because I don't have ENOUGH projects going right now, I just got this in the mail:

It's the McAllister Racing Jeep Cherokee. This is a snippet from the August 1991 RCCA

I emailed Gary, http://www.mcallisterracing.com about the Iron Man Toyota (got that one too), and he said he still makes it and the Cherokee. They are $13.99 each, so I snagged both (got a couple Dum Dums out of the deal too). He still makes a lot of his old bodies, and some awesome new ones, especially for oval, and is a really nice guy. Definitely check them out. I wonder if he still makes that dirt track stocker from the old ads...

I've had the RPM Torkerz for YEARS, been waiting to do something with them. The tires are Pro-Line Switch, designed for the Traxxas Slash before they switched to that weird 2.2/3.0 rim. Made for a 1.75" wide wheel, so you have to trim the inner lip off the rim.

Nice that is a sweet body, a few days ago talked to Gary and am trying to figure out which body to put on my A&L trailing arm truck. Might have to be a cherokee or a toyota sr-5.Hmmmmm
