Help me figure out my RC10 project.

Post by RCveteran »

So I am not sure what direction I want to go. My intial hunch was to take the graphite car and make a shelf queen with dyed black parts and maybe some simple blue anodized hardware and shocks or something. Let the chassis stand out in other words since the chassis is in great shape. But I sure would like to run it, not sure I could stare at the chassis and that stealth and not go mad.

The gold tub is a pretty nice all original 6 gear CE, but has the chassis that was drilled for the stealth as well, 1993 or so. I have extra stealth transmissions as well.

I just aquired the extra graphite chassis in the pick, it is like new, is it Associated (after they got rid of the weave pattern and AE milled in?) I am torn, so what to do with it all?

put chassis protector sheets on both and run em! then if you get tired peel em off, clean em up and shelf em. best of both worlds 8)

p.s. I think the carbon chassis that is not marked is NOT AE, but possibly Houge, Composite Craft, or other? I was under the assumption that all AE graphite kits had visible weave and 'AE' milled.

Good idea. As I think about it I will modify the heck out of the gold pan car with whatever modern parts and custom stuff I feel like attaching to the pan and keep the graphite one pretty much as it is and run it with protective film.

At least that's what I think at the moment, likely to change 100 times.
