The small pulleys LA-11 are very hard to get havent seen them on the bay for ages and they only exist on the la series of cars ( not lazer sport ) .
I think the easiest thing to do is get pulleyshafts from beltcorp or sdp and machine them down to have bearings fit since they are avaliable in different sizes and just have the right belts to match the pitch on the pulleys. M3 belts for the lazers and 870 works93/95 yokomos, M2 for works91 yokomo diffs.

I guess that you want to use the oneways at the wheels then the layshaft pulley issue should be an easy task and just get the slipper of youre choise.

The kyosho triumph pulley may be something worth looking at: it is similar to the lazer pulley but wide enough to take the 2 belts side by side.
(It was Bormacs picture of his home-made widened lazerdiff that gave me this idea)
For the front why not use a one-way instead of diff: easier to get right in my mind.

Oh, by the way: the hirobo diffs and belts look like they may work too but the y are extreme wide

Actually they are from an optima mid since they use that xl belt.

I haven't checked out SDP's site in a while, but if memory serves they have both pulley stock for machining, as well as machined hardened pulleys with metric bores and setscrews. Basically direct replacements for the stock chain drive parts which look like they were probably originally sourced this way (as opposed to having them machined specifically for the car)

Oops I didn't find the thread and worked from memory. The triumph pulley is M3, but that could be a plus: easier to find replacement belts and different pulleys for the top axle. in different lengths when you're scratch building with parts from the hobbymarket.
The hirobo diffs and belt are a finer pitch: M2? Looks a lot like the aluminium ones shown for the radiant in yet another thread.
But availability wise they are not a real bonus, and I don't know if they exist as ball diffs either.

Nice, what pulley did you use and how did you glue it?

Let me take that inquiry a bit further.

What diff housings did you use?

What pulleys did you use and how are they grafted onto the diff housings, if they are separate?

What outdrives did you use?

Assuming the overall width is different, even if only slightly, what CVD's did you use?

Was this done on a Radiant, or a Pro Radiant?

What pitch and length belts did you use?

Where did you locate readily available parts for the conversion?

Part of my quest is to use parts which can be easily found, or made using readily available items. I want to be able to make or buy spare parts so that guys (or girls) aren't afraid to run the car out of fear of breaking.

Jeff- Rob had those pulleys machined from memory. I think they were then used along with the original parts.
The Lazer diff conversion is on its way to you as we speak. I think the Lazer ZXR is a better diff assembly than that of the AYK unit.

hi there, all the pulleys and belts were brought from this company in Australia
http://www.minibearings.com.au/ , they have all the pulleys and belts that you need, i got a company call Plastic Cut in Victoria to machine the plastic pulleys, when i showed the the original chain pulleys they told me they were able to make them as well if needed, I'll wole out all the sizes hopefully over the weekend and post some sizes

cheers Rob
