1992 RC10 CE Tires/wheels? Motor?
1992 RC10 CE Tires/wheels? Motor?
Hello. Can anybody answer a few basic questions. I got a 1992 RC10 CE, buggy. Trying to restore it and bring it back to life. Anybody know where or how to get new tires for the car? Hobby shop said no way, just do not make them anymore. Something as to work, huh? Anybody got some ideas?
Also, the motor is inop. Can anybody recommend a new motor, battery combo for track purposes?
Thanks for the help....

Thanks. That is what the hobby shop said. No way to do some sort of modification to run "current" modern day wheels/tires? What are other vintage RC10 owners doing, to keep their cars going?

Thanks guys. OK. That wheel/tire problem can be solved, sounds like.....
Anybody recommend a good strong replacement motor that would replace the stock one? Hobby shop also said, not too powerful, if I blow the tranny, car is done.....forever, as I will never get parts for it again. How about a battery recommendation? I plan to use this car on a track.

you can still get all of the trans internals. your car does have a stealth trans, right?

Hello. Not sure of the tranny type. I know the whole car is OEM. Whatever they put in it that year, that is what I have. Anyway to tell, just by looking at the car?

No, it does not. My tranny case, is "rounded" in the rear, to match the profile of the motor. Awesome looking car you got there....

you can still get parts for the 6 gear, it's just that not all of them are readily accessible. you might have to hunt for some of the stuff.
being as though you have a 6 gear, i'd stay in the 27 turn stock motor range, maybe a 19 turn. no sense in grenading it if there's nothing wrong with it.

OK. Thanks. Here is a question? What is meant by 27-"turn"? Is the word "turn" a unit of power?

"turn" basically means the number of times the wire is wrapped around the armature.
